"In the middle of the journey of our life, I found myself astray in a dark wood where the straight road had been lost sight of.
How hard it is to say what it was like in the thick of thickets, in a wood so dense and gnarled, the very thought of it renews my panic.
It is bitter almost as death itself is bitter. But to rehearse the good it also brought me, I will speak about the other things I saw there."
- The Inferno of Dante, Canto 1
In the late summer of 2017, I entered one of the darkest seasons of my life.
Not knowing where to go with the intensity of feeling brought on by the experience, I sat down and began to write about it.
For some reason, it spilled out of me in verse.
That initial batch of words would eventually be recorded over a beat, a bass line, and a synth to become the song, "Break The Glasses."
Something about the process of putting it all together was therapeutic for me, so I just kept on writing and recording. On a whim, I posted some of the music online and in a matter of months, people from all over the world were listening. Maybe the music was therapeutic for them, too.
There's no particular reason that I decided on the name, "Saturne." I just liked the word and I needed a name to call the project by.
You can hear all of the music that's been put out there thus far and follow what Saturne is up to by clicking on the links below.
